The outcome of any serious research can only be to
make two questions grow where only one grew before.

My sister in-law (Kathy Walker) and I (Maxine Walker Davie) are working on a history of Edmund that we will be sharing before long, but here are some questions we have had while working on his story that we would like to answer. If anyone has ideas or information on any of the questions, please post:
Q. Could have Edmund have come with Perpetual
Immigration funds? Did they document everyone? Were there a lot of arrangement
between private parties that might have accomplished the same thing?
Q. Why didn’t he return to Hook Manson after he was
baptized? Can we find him in England in 1850?
Q. Can we locate any better pictures of Edmund and Maria?
Q. Did Dinah
divorce Amos Stone?
Q. Might Edmund and Maria have sailed from Titchfield?
Q. Conquerors of the West says that Edmund was
involved in the affairs of Summit County? What kind of affairs? Community? Agricultural Board?
Q. What happened to the family in the two years they were in the Salt Lake Valley? How
was the arrival organized by the church? How was he employed?
Q. There is a Stephen Swallow who came to Utah at
about that time; is this Maria’s brother?
Q. Did they sometimes walk to the Salt Lake from Peoa? Some of the trips Edmund describes would have taken
about 17 hours. Whether they drove or walked, it would be interesting to discover the route they
took.
Q. Was there a connection to the Hill family that
left Cincinnati with him and the Hill family that he is related to in England?
